Reasons

Why you should buy a pizza oven

01.Energy Efficient

Ditch the electricity and gas bills — a wood-fired pizza oven runs purely on sustainably sourced firewood. Not only is this better for the environment, but it's also easier on your wallet in the long run. Plus, cooking with wood brings unbeatable flavor and a natural connection to traditional outdoor cooking methods.

02. Space-Smart

Short on outdoor space? No problem. Our pizza ovens have a compact footprint (occupying as little as 1.5m²), making them smaller than many outdoor fireplaces or built-in BBQs. Enjoy the benefits of a full outdoor kitchen experience without sacrificing room in your backyard, patio, or courtyard.

03. ADDs Value to Your Home

A high-quality pizza oven can boost the appeal and value of your property. In New Zealand, strong indoor-outdoor flow is a major selling point — and a stylish, functional pizza oven creates an instant outdoor focal point that future buyers and renters will love.

04. Customisable to Suit Your Style

Modern, rustic, traditional, or industrial — whatever your vibe, a pizza oven can be tailored to match. Our pizza ovens come standard with a steel base, however this can easily be swapped out to a custom built base to suit your preference- from granite benchtops to custom-built cabinetry and outdoor kitchens, your oven can become a seamless extension of your personal style.

0.5 Perfect for Entertaining

There’s nothing quite like gathering friends and family around a crackling fire, sharing freshly made pizzas, roasts, or baked goods straight from the oven. A wood-fired oven creates a social, interactive dining experience that’s unforgettable — turning simple meals into something truly special.

0.6 More Than Just Pizza

While they produce world-class pizzas, our ovens are incredibly versatile. Bake sourdough bread, roast meats, slow-cook stews, char vegetables, or even try your hand at desserts like wood-fired apple crumble. One oven, endless culinary possibilities.

0.7 Built to Last

Made from engineered, high-thermal concrete and built with quality craftsmanship, our ovens are designed to stand the test of time. With minimal maintenance, your oven will deliver delicious results for decades — a true investment in your lifestyle and your home.

FAQs

FAQs

What’s the difference between the Bambino Elite and the Grande?

The Bambino Elite is our compact model, ideal for smaller outdoor spaces while still delivering incredible heat and performance. The Grande is our larger oven, perfect for those wanting a full-sized wood-fired experience and more room for roasting, baking, or entertaining larger groups. Both are made with high-quality engineered concrete and come with everything you need to get started.

Can I use these ovens for more than just pizza?

Absolutely. While they’re pizza powerhouses, both ovens are fantastic for baking bread, roasting meats, slow-cooking vegetables, or even desserts. Anything that benefits from even, radiant heat and a hint of wood smoke will thrive in these ovens.

What’s included with each oven?

Bambino Elite: Pizza oven shell & base, granite bench, wrought iron stand, black steel door, and a pizza paddle.

Grande: Pizza oven shell & base, steel stand, black steel door, and a pizza paddle.

Our Oven Cooking Accessories Bundle is sold separately.

How long does it take to heat up?

It takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully heat your oven to optimal cooking temperatures. While it takes a little time to get there, the result is well worth the wait — crispy, blistered crusts and perfectly cooked wood-fired meals. The Grande also retains heat for hours, making it perfect for extended cooking sessions.

How heavy are the ovens? Can I install one myself?

Bambino Elite: 270kg

Grande: 840kg

What kind of wood should I use?

We recommend dry, untreated hardwoods like manuka, oak, beech, or fruitwood. These burn hot, clean, and add delicious flavor. Avoid softwoods, treated wood, or anything painted or varnished.

Do I need special tools to cook with these ovens?

While you can get by with the included pizza paddle, we strongly recommend our Oven Cooking Accessories Bundle. It includes a pizza hook, coal rake, and oven brush — tools that make cooking and cleaning easier, safer, and more precise.

How do I clean and care for my oven?

For the cooking surface, use the pizza oven brush to sweep out ash and crumbs before and after use.

No need to wash with water — the heat sterilizes the surface.

For the outer body, a damp cloth will remove dust or soot.

Allow the oven to cool completely before cleaning or covering.

Can I cook with the door closed?

Yes! The included black steel door helps lock in heat for baking and roasting. For pizza, you’ll typically cook with the door open to maintain airflow and high flame.

Testimonial

Customer Testimonial

We have made some great pizzas, we are very adept at getting the pizzas on and off the peel now. There is a bit of family rivalry as to who is the best at making pizza and what are the best flavours to put on. Fresh fig, buffalo mozzarella and Proscuitto is my No 1 favourite. I have baked bread, slow-roasted large pork legs, casseroles and beer can chicken. We are lucky that Wanaka is very dry, but cold in winter and we have continued to use the oven right throughout the winter. I’m really looking forward to having the oven cranking over the whole summer. We have been burning some really lovely 20-year-old Pinot noir vines that friends had replaced in a vineyard and this has been wonderful. We are having great fun with our oven!
