FAQs
What’s the difference between the Bambino Elite and the Grande?
The Bambino Elite is our compact model, ideal for smaller outdoor spaces while still delivering incredible heat and performance. The Grande is our larger oven, perfect for those wanting a full-sized wood-fired experience and more room for roasting, baking, or entertaining larger groups. Both are made with high-quality engineered concrete and come with everything you need to get started.
Can I use these ovens for more than just pizza?
Absolutely. While they’re pizza powerhouses, both ovens are fantastic for baking bread, roasting meats, slow-cooking vegetables, or even desserts. Anything that benefits from even, radiant heat and a hint of wood smoke will thrive in these ovens.
What’s included with each oven?
Bambino Elite: Pizza oven shell & base, granite bench, wrought iron stand, black steel door, and a pizza paddle.
Grande: Pizza oven shell & base, steel stand, black steel door, and a pizza paddle.
Our Oven Cooking Accessories Bundle is sold separately.
How long does it take to heat up?
It takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully heat your oven to optimal cooking temperatures. While it takes a little time to get there, the result is well worth the wait — crispy, blistered crusts and perfectly cooked wood-fired meals. The Grande also retains heat for hours, making it perfect for extended cooking sessions.
How heavy are the ovens? Can I install one myself?
Bambino Elite: 270kg
Grande: 840kg
What kind of wood should I use?
We recommend dry, untreated hardwoods like manuka, oak, beech, or fruitwood. These burn hot, clean, and add delicious flavor. Avoid softwoods, treated wood, or anything painted or varnished.
Do I need special tools to cook with these ovens?
While you can get by with the included pizza paddle, we strongly recommend our Oven Cooking Accessories Bundle. It includes a pizza hook, coal rake, and oven brush — tools that make cooking and cleaning easier, safer, and more precise.
How do I clean and care for my oven?
For the cooking surface, use the pizza oven brush to sweep out ash and crumbs before and after use.
No need to wash with water — the heat sterilizes the surface.
For the outer body, a damp cloth will remove dust or soot.
Allow the oven to cool completely before cleaning or covering.
Can I cook with the door closed?
Yes! The included black steel door helps lock in heat for baking and roasting. For pizza, you’ll typically cook with the door open to maintain airflow and high flame.
